Metabolic

Tesamorelin

Research Use Only | Not for Human Consumption

Tesamorelin is primarily studied for growth-hormone signaling, visceral fat, body-composition measurements, liver-fat measurements, and metabolic markers. Rather than acting as growth hormone itself, it activates the pathway that signals the pituitary gland to release growth hormone.

What Is Tesamorelin?

Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide based on growth hormone-releasing hormone, a naturally occurring signal produced by the hypothalamus.

Its main research role is activating the growth-hormone signaling pathway through the pituitary gland. Controlled studies have examined tesamorelin in relation to visceral adipose tissue, abdominal-fat distribution, liver fat, body composition, and metabolic markers in specific research populations.

Visceral fat is fat stored around internal organs rather than directly beneath the skin. That distinction is important because much of the published research has focused on internal abdominal-fat measurements rather than general changes in body weight.
