Sermorelin

Research Use Only | Not for Human Consumption

Sermorelin is primarily studied for its ability to signal the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. Researchers use it to examine natural growth-hormone pulses, pituitary responsiveness, IGF-1-related signaling, growth, recovery-related pathways, and age-related changes in the growth-hormone system.

What Is Sermorelin?

Sermorelin is a synthetic version of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone. This shorter sequence retains the portion of the natural hormone responsible for signaling the pituitary gland.

Unlike research involving growth hormone itself, sermorelin research focuses on stimulating a subject's own pituitary response. This makes it useful for studying growth-hormone release, pituitary function, natural hormone pulses, and downstream IGF-1-related activity.

Published investigations include diagnostic research, pediatric growth research, and studies of age-related changes in the growth-hormone axis. Those findings apply to the specific controlled research settings in which they were produced.
