Research Use Only | Not for Human Consumption

Semax is best known for research involving learning, memory, attention, brain-cell protection, and recovery following nervous-system stress. Researchers have studied how it may influence BDNF-related signaling, neurotransmitter activity, inflammation, and the brain's response to experimental injury.

What Is Semax?

Semax is a synthetic peptide based on a short fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone, commonly abbreviated ACTH. It was designed to preserve selected nervous-system-related properties of the original sequence without reproducing its full hormonal activity.

Researchers study Semax primarily in cognitive and neuroprotection models. Areas of interest include learning and memory, attention-related behavior, BDNF-related signaling, neurotransmitter balance, inflammation, and cellular responses following reduced blood flow or other nervous-system stress.

Much of the literature comes from animal studies and specific regional research programs. The findings should therefore be understood as research context rather than proof of a predictable outcome.
